Each tournament title has a unique set of rules. Please read these before attending any of the tournaments.
DISCLAIMER: This document outlines the rules that should at all times be followed when participating in the Inner-School eSports Championship. Failure to adhere to these rules may be penalized as outlined. It should be remembered that it is always the administration of the tournament that has the last word, and that decisions that are not specifically supported, or detailed in these rules, or even goes against these rules may be taken in extreme cases, to preserve fair play and sportsmanship. We at Royal College computer society hope that you as a participant or spectator will have fun at the tournament and we will do our utmost to make it a fair, fun, and exciting competition for everyone involved.
The Inner-School e-Sports Championship is organized by Royal College Computer Society partnering with the Gamer.LK
Gamer.LK Staff (LOL Referees and Casters), referred to also as Tournament Staff, will oversee the tournament and their decisions will be final. A complete list of Gamer.LK Staff is available on the Contact Us page at http://gamer.lk/contactus.
All matches will be played on online servers. All participants should have an internet connection with League of Legends installed and updated to take part in this tournament.
Gamer.LK and its Tournament Staff reserve the right to amend, remove, or otherwise change the rules listed here, without further notice. The Tournament Staff also reserves the right to make judgment on cases that are not specifically supported, or detailed in these rules, or even goes against these rules in extreme cases, to preserve fair play and sportsmanship.
The Inner-School eSports Championship is restricted to students currently enrolled in Royal College , Copy of the first page of the SRB should be emailed to esports@rccsonline.com as method of validation , Failure on sending the copy’s of the SRB’s of the team mates will not be able to participate in the tournament.
The tournament will be held under a Single Elimination Bracket. The finals will be a Best of 3 games encounter whereas all other games will be Best of 1 game matches.
The Tournament Staff will always accommodate the tournament format and draw in the interest of all teams taking part, in the fairest possible way.
The scheduling of matches will be entirely up to the Tournament Staff. If a Team requires reschedule RCCS Organizing committee should be notified regarding the matter as to take a decision.
By submitting a registration for the Inner-School eSports Championship, all teams and players acknowledge without limitation to comply with the rules set herein and especially with the decisions made by the Tournament Staff. All competitors are expected to know and understand all the rules described here. Not knowing that a rule existed or that it was in place will not be considered as an acceptable reason for breaking a said rule.
All teams are kindly requested to remove any profanities or obscene language or expletives and drug references from their team names and player names. (eg: Teams with names such as Team F***s, H***tho Gangsiya, Kiss my A**, etc will not be allowed to register.) Teams are also kindly requested to refrain from using any obscene images in their team logos.
Teams must arrive to the TeamSpeak at least 30 minutes before their match or the start of the tournament. If by 15 minutes past the scheduled match start time a team doesn’t have enough players to play, the match will be deemed a walkover to the team that is present with its minimum number of required players.
A Team has to consist of at least five players. Upto TWO substitute players can also be registered for each team. Each player can be registered and can subsequently play for only one team during the tournament.
Stand-ins will be allowed but their details will need to be given to the Registration Desk prior to each match. Roster changes are allowed. Stand-ins or players being changed cannot be playing for any other team in the tournament.
5 vs. 5 (Team Play, 5 players)
The team who destroys the opponent's throne/ancient first, or if the opponent surrenders.
– Competition Method: 5 vs. 5
– Maps allowed: Summoner’s Rift
– Mode: Tournament Draft
– Bans per team: 3
– Game Length: Until the winner is determined
– Game Winner: The team who completely destroys their opponent’s nexus or forces their opponent to surrender.
The side and drafting order (selection priority) of each game depends on the mode of the match. The "first team (higher seed)" means the team mentioned first on the match page or bracket list posted. The team with Selection Priority may pick either their side of the map or the first pick in drafting.
Public chat can only be used by the team captains and/or Tournament Staff regarding game pauses, disconnections, etc. Team members are allowed to greet each other at the start and end of the match on public chat (i.e: GGWP, GLHF, etc) but should avoid using it during a match. No foul language is allowed on public chat and doing so can get the team disqualified from the match after the first warning.
A team CANNOT START a game shorthanded. Both teams should necessarily have 5 players and there can be no games with 4 players on either side. Any team with players missing after the grace time provided will be considered as having forfeited the match.
Exploiting game or map bugs/glitches/flaws ("exploits") for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Exploits that are not specifically named here are still prohibited but will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. The Tournament Staff reserve the right to decide what will be deemed as an exploit or abuse.
The use of scripts such as insta-hexing, auto-blinking, auto-orchid or techies scripts are illegal.
The use of any third-party addons, hooks, programs or wrappers that interact with or alter the game client, its appearance or behaviour for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Players and teams caught using such addons will, at the discretion of the Tournament Staff be penalized accordingly. Third party voice communication software such as (but not limited to) Teamspeak are allowed.
Impersonating an eligible player by attempting to alias as them, using their account or by any other method is prohibited and will result in the aliasing player and the player they are aliasing as being removed from the tournament.
The champion pool always consists of all available champions based on the player account and might therefore change several times during the competition if a patch is released in between the tournament.
Each team has the right to pause the game for an acceptable duration, if a player announces it at least three seconds in advance and calls a coherent reason (not necessary, if someone disconnects). The game must not be resumed before both teams agree with it. When the number or the duration of breaks becomes too high or long, Tournament Staff reserve the right to force the continuation of the game.
If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly. Everyone has up to ten minutes to reconnect to the game. If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game, unless an admin demands the opposite. The affected player is in this case still allowed to rejoin later on. If during a match a player is not able to reconnect for reasons other than a re-connection bug, the team will have to play without that player.
The following rules only apply if a match is involuntarily interrupted due to a player crash, server crash, network failure, power failure, etc. If a player’s PC crashes or a player disconnects, the game must be paused. If multiple players disconnect, the server crashes or lobby shuts down or network fails and there is no match to be found when retrying, the lobby must be immediately re-hosted.
Swearing or any kind of hostility, racist or any sort of abuse verbal or physical towards another player is strictly prohibited. Please mind your language during matches as much as possible. Players are strictly prohibited to be drunk or under drugs in the match area. Smoking or drinking alcohol in the match area is prohibited.
All participants are required to uphold the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for any kind of harassment including but not limited to; demeaning language, threats, hate crimes, intimidation, non-consensual photography or recording, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome physical attention as well as statements or verbal exchanges that threatens or expresses contempt of ethnicity, religious belief, sexual orientation, citizenship, appearance, body size, age, disability and gender identity. Such instances will be penalized. Every participant has to show the needed respect towards other participants, the Organizers, Tournament Staff and Casters. The ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY applies to EVERYONE attending including but not limited to: Attendees, Press, Staff, Sponsors & Guests.
Any participant who attacks or physically harms another participant in his team or the opposing team will immediately result in the perpetrator’s team being disqualified from the tournament.
Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct, and will be penalized appropriately.
We encourage everyone to immediately report any sign of harassment, both to yourself or if you witness it happening to someone else. Report it to a member of the Tournament Staff of Gamer.LK who have tags clearly marked with STAFF on themselves.
All the above player conduct restrictions are imposed upon entry from the gate of the Tournament premises (security checkpoint or main entrance gate). Any incidents that take place beyond the premises or during transit may not be covered by these rules and the Tournament Staff or Organizers cannot be held liable for any such incidents either.
Violation of the rules or failure to comply with Gamer.LK Staff may lead to the following penalties. Depending on the severity of the offense, levels of penalties may be skipped.
– Warning: After a warning is given during a game it will continue until the game is completed. If three warnings are accumulated then the team will be disqualified from the tournament upon receiving the third warning.
– Game Loss: Game loss given to a team means that the team loses the current game no matter what the result of that game is. A win would be awarded to the opponent instead. In a best of 3/5 games situation, this refers to the game that is being played.
– Disqualifications: A team disqualified will be ejected from the tournament. They will not be able to proceed in the bracket.
– No Show: A team that registers for the tournament and doesn't show up for a match or pulls out of the tournament will be considered "no show". This will affect their Gamer.LK ranking as this will reduce their points. In the bracket however, the scheduled match would be considered a walkover.
– Ban: In extreme circumstances, a team/player might be banned from playing in any single match (disqualified) in the ongoing tournament. Based on the severity of the violation this ban might extend to future Gamer.LK tournaments.
Players who are caught swearing or behaving in a hostile manner towards their opponents or staff or spectators will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
Players who are caught throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
No person/s shall hold the Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners liable in any manner whatsoever for any circumstance or situation arising from or at any of our events including but not limited to acts beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, terrorist activities or national emergency, accident, fire, lightning, riot, civil commotion, explosions, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes or epidemics.
The Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners will not be responsible for:
– Any late, lost or distorted registrations
– Any loss of hardware peripherals, personal belongings (including but not limited to mobile telephones, laptops, hard disks, pen drives) and/or liveware
– Telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures
– Any contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the Organizer’s/Gamer.LK's control.
The Organizers and Gamer.LK reserves the right to deny entry to any event to anyone who violates the event rules.

5 vs. 5 (Team Play, 5 players)
The official map pool includes the following maps:
– Train
– Dust2
– Mirage
– Cache
– Overpass
– Cobblestone
– Nuke
The round time will be set at 01:55 minutes.
The bomb timer will be set at 0:40 seconds.
Deathcam will be set to immediate.
All servers will be provided and designated by Gamer.LK for Gamer.LK Ranked CS:GO tournaments.
They will have the official settings loaded as well as the map pool installed. Additional to that
the server must have the following settings.
– VAC enabled
– sv_pure 1
No additional plug-ins are allowed to be installed on the server, especially gameplay mods such
as metamod are not allowed.
If a player drops (disconnects) before the first kill in the first round of a half, then the half will be restarted. If a player drops after the first kill has been made and has not returned when the round has been decided, then the match will be paused at the end of the round/start of the next round. If the player has not returned, or cannot be replaced within 10 minutes after the pause has started, then the team with the dropped player may forfeit the match at the discretion of the Tournament Staff.
Coin tosses will be used to determine the “better seed”. The “better seed” then has the choice about who starts in the map-veto/pick process.

In case of a draw after all 30 rounds have been played, an overtime will be played with mp_maxrounds 6 and mp_startmoney 10000. For the start of the overtime teams will stay on the side which they played the previous half on, during half-time sites will be swapped. Teams will continue to play overtimes until a winner has been found.
The following commands are forbidden:
– mat_hdr_enabled
The following startparameters are forbidden:
– +mat_hdr_enabled 0/1
– +mat_hdr_leven 0/1/2
All other configuration changes are allowed as long as they do not give an unfair edge or
advantage comparable to cheating. A player may be penalized for wrong settings in any config
file, regardless if it is in use, or even stored in the game folder in question.
Wrong settings will be penalized with a warning to the player and team. If three or more players
have wrong settings or the same player is caught on multiple occasions infringing this rule, the
team will get a default loss and the player in question will be penalized at the discretion of
the Tournament Staff.
Tournament Staff may under special circumstances decide on a default loss, even if less than
three players have wrong settings.
In general, all scripts are illegal except for buy, toggle, demo & jumpthrow scripts.
– Stop shoot scripts [Use or AWP scripts]
– Center view scripts
– Turn scripts [180° or similar]
– No recoil scripts
– Burst fire scripts
– Rate changers (Lag scripts)
– FPS scripts
– Anti flash scripts or binding (snd_* bindings)
– Bunnyhop scripts
– Stop sound scripts
If you are not sure if a script is allowed or not, then contact the Tournament Staff before you
play an official match.
A player may be penalized for forbidden scripts in any config file, regardless if it is in use,
or even stored in the game folder in question.
Forbidden scripts will be penalized with a warning to the player and team. If three or more
players have wrong settings or the same player is caught on multiple occasions infringing this
rule, the team will get a default loss and the player in question will be penalized at the
discretion of the Tournament Staff.
Tournament Staff may under special circumstances decide on a default loss, even if less than
three players have wrong settings.
The use of A3D (2.0) or any program, driver or interface that simulates A3D (2.0) is strictly forbidden, and will be penalized.
Any modification or changing of the game using external graphics solutions or other 3rd party programs are strictly prohibited and may be punished under the cheating paragraph Furthermore it’s forbidden to use all kinds of overlays which will show the usage rate of the system in any way in-game (e.g. Nvidia SLI display, Rivatuner Overlay). Overlays which will show only the frames per second (FPS) are not forbidden and can be used.
Every player must play with the highest color setting in Counter-Strike (32 bit); if the player is playing in windowed mode then the desktop must also be on 32bit setting.
Only steam skins are allowed to be changed, any other changes to sprites, skins, score boards, crosshairs are strictly disallowed, also only the official models are allowed.
Impersonating an eligible player by attempting to alias as them, using their Steam account or by any other method is prohibited and will result in the aliasing player and the player they are aliasing as being removed from the tournament.
The server demos will be saved by Gamer.LK
In the interest of promoting CS:GO in Sri Lanka, TWO strategic pauses per match is allowed for each team. They should inform the Tournament Staff and the match can be paused ONLY as the freezetime commences. Anyone pausing besides this will be penalized.
If a player has a problem that prevents him from playing on, he is allowed to use the pause function. The pause function has to be used at the beginning of the next round (during the freeze time). The player has to announce the reason before or immediately after he paused the match. If no reason is given, the opponent may unpause the game and continue playing. Unpausing or pausing the game without any reason will lead to a warning and subsequent infringes may even result in a match overturn.
No player can “disconnect” or “drop” by their own volition once the match begins. They may test all settings, etc during the warmup time only. In the event of lag, the match should be paused according to the rules above and then the matter should be forwarded to the Tournament Staff. Any manual disconnection without speaking to the Tournament Staff will result in an immediate overturn of the match. Tournament Staff will override this rule where applicable.
If a match is interrupted (e.g. server crash) within the first three rounds of play, then the
match should be restarted, if the match is interrupted after the first three rounds of play then
the match should be continued where it left off, with these changes in the configuration.
– mp_startmoney should be set to 5000 for the rest of the half
– The rest of the rounds that have not been played should be played.
The intentional use of any bugs, glitches, or errors in the game will be penalized. Furthermore,
it is up to the Tournament Staff’s (Gamer.LK CS:GO Referees) discretion whether or not the use
of said bugs had an effect on the match, and whether or not he will award rounds, or the match
to the opposing team, or to force a rematch. In extreme cases, the penalty for abusing bugs may
be even higher.
The usage of the following bugs is strictly forbidden, if any bug is used which is not listed
here it is up to the Tournament Staff’s (Gamer.LK CS:GO Referees) discretion whether or not a
punishment is necessary.
Bugs on load have to be checked before the match starts (missing boxes, ladders and so on).
Failure to do so, and to let the match start, will mean that both teams have accepted the state
the map is in, and the match will be continued under these settings. Protests and complaints
regarding such issues will not be adhered to.
– Moving through any walls, or ceilings, are strictly forbidden, also moving through the floor,
or anywhere else which were not intended to be a passage is strictly forbidden.
– Silent planting is strictly forbidden (planting the bomb in such a way that no one can hear
the beeping)
– To plant the bomb where it is impossible to reach is disallowed. Planting the bomb in a place
that you can reach with a boost from a teammate is not part of this rule.
– Standing on top of teammates is generally allowed, it is only forbidden, when such actions
allow the player to peek over a wall, or ceiling that should not be allowed according to map
design.
– Using flash bugs are strictly forbidden.
– Throwing grenades under walls are forbidden, although throwing grenades and flashes over walls
are allowed.
– “map swimming“ or “floating“ is forbidden
– “pixel walking“ is forbidden (Sitting, or standing on invisible edges on the map).
Generally, the use of any bugs in the game is strictly forbidden. (For example: spawn bugs).
An exception are the following bugs which are explicitly allowed:
– Defusing the bomb through walls and items etc.
– So called “surfing” on tubes
– So called “fireboost”
The tournament directions reserves the right, also retroactively, to add more bugs to the list
of explicitly allowed bugs.
If any player or team wants to use a new position which is unknown to anyone else or just known to a small part of the community, it’s strongly recommended to contact Tournament Staff to check if that position is allowed before using it in any official match. Players and teams have to consider that it takes time to check new positions and therefore they have to contact Tournament Staff in a reasonable timeframe before an official match.

The Inner-School e-Sports Championship is organized by Royal College Computer Society partnering with the Gamer.LK
Gamer.LK Staff (DOTA 2 Referees and Casters), referred to also as Tournament Staff, will oversee the tournament and their decisions will be final.
All matches will be played on Online Servers. All participants should have an Internet Connection with Steam and Dota 2 installed and updated in order to take part in the tournament.
Gamer.LK and its Tournament Staff reserve the right to amend, remove, or otherwise change the rules listed here, without further notice. The Tournament Staff also reserves the right to make judgment on cases that are not specifically supported, or detailed in these rules, or even goes against these rules in extreme cases, to preserve fair play and sportsmanship.
The Inner-School eSports Championship is restricted to students currently enrolled in Royal College, Copy of the first page of the SRB should be emailed to esports@rccsonline.com as method of validation, Failure on sending the copies of the SRB’s of the team mates will not be able to participate in the tournament.
The tournament will be held under a Single Elimination Bracket. The finals will be a Best of 3 games encounter whereas all other games will be Best of 1 game matches.
The Tournament Staff will always accommodate the tournament format and draw in the interest of all teams taking part, in the fairest possible way.
The scheduling of matches will be entirely up to the Tournament Staff. If a Team requires a reschedule RCCS Organizing committee should be notified regarding the matter as to take a decision.
By submitting a registration for the Inner-School eSports Championship, all teams and players acknowledge without limitation to comply with the rules set herein and especially with the decisions made by the Tournament Staff. All competitors are expected to know and understand all the rules described here. Not knowing that a rule existed or that it was in place will not be considered as an acceptable reason for breaking a said rule.
All teams are kindly requested to remove any profanities or obscene language or expletives and drug references from their team names and player names. (eg: Teams with names such as Team F***s, H***tho Gangsiya, Kiss my A**, etc will not be allowed to register.) Teams are also kindly requested to refrain from using any obscene images in their team logos.
Teams must arrive to the TeamSpeak at least 30 minutes before their match or the start of the tournament. If by 15 minutes past the scheduled match start time a team doesn’t have enough players to play, the match will be deemed a walkover to the team that is present with its minimum number of required players.
A Team has to consist of at least five players. Upto TWO substitute players can also be registered for each team. Each player can be registered and can subsequently play for only one team during the tournament.
Stand-ins will be allowed but their details will need to be given to the Registration Desk prior to each match. Roster changes are allowed. Stand-ins or players being changed cannot be playing for any other team in the tournament.
5 vs. 5 (Team Play, 5 players)
The team who destroys the opponent's throne/ancient first, or if the opponent surrenders.
The following settings will be used for the hosting of Match Lobbies. If a setting is not listed below, it should not be changed from its default state.
- Enable Cheats: No
- Fill Empty Slots With Bots: No
- Version: Tournament
- Series Type: Best of 3, Finals. Best of 1 for all matches in previous rounds.
- Game Mode: Captain's Mode
- Starting Team: Refer to rules under 5.4 Sides & Drafting Order
- Spectating: Set to the Dota TV ticket (if available). If not by default spectating will be Enabled.
The side and drafting order (selection priority) of each game depends on the mode of the match. The team with Selection Priority may pick either their side of the map or the drafting order. Selection Priority will be determined by a coin toss and the winner of the coin toss will receive Selection Priority. It will be reversed after each game. When any games are awarded as walkovers, Selection Priority will still switch.
Public chat can only be used by the team captains and/or Tournament Staff regarding game pauses, disconnections, etc. Team members are allowed to greet each other at the start and end of the match on public chat (i.e: GGWP, GLHF, etc) but should avoid using it during a match. No foul language is allowed on public chat and doing so can get the team disqualified from the match after the first warning.
A team CANNOT START a game shorthanded. Both teams should necessarily have 5 players and there can be no games with 4 players on either side. Any team with players missing after the grace time provided will be considered as having forfeited the match.
Exploiting game or map bugs/glitches/flaws ("exploits") for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Exploits that are not specifically named here are still prohibited but will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. The Tournament Staff reserve the right to decide what will be deemed as an exploit or abuse.
The use of scripts such as insta-hexing, auto-blinking, auto-orchid or techies scripts are illegal.
The use of any third-party addons, hooks, programs or wrappers that interact with or alter the DOTA 2 client, its appearance or behavior for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Players and teams caught using such addons will, at the discretion of the Tournament Staff be penalized accordingly. Third party voice communication software such as (but not limited to) Teamspeak are allowed.
Impersonating an eligible player by attempting to alias as them, using their Steam account or by any other method is prohibited and will result in the aliasing player and the player they are aliasing as being removed from the tournament.
The hero pool always consists of all available heroes in Captains Mode and might therefore change during the tournament if a Dota patch is released in-between the tournament.
Each team has the right to pause the game for a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes, if a player announces it at least three seconds in advance and calls a coherent reason (not necessary, if someone disconnects). The game must not be resumed before both teams agree with it.
If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly.
Each team has up to fifteen (15) minutes to reconnect to the game (all times get added up). If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game, unless an admin demands the opposite. The affected player is in this case still allowed to rejoin later on.
If during a match a player is not able to reconnect for reasons other than a reconnection bug, the team will have to play without that player.
If the player is not able to reconnect because of a game bug, the game will be played forward until the next minute mark and will be reloaded from there.
If in the case of a game not being reloaded after such a try, the game will have to be rehosted as in the clause below.
The following rules only apply if a match is involuntarily interrupted due to a player crash, server crash, network failure, power failure, etc.
If a player's PC crashes or a player disconnects, the game must be paused. The disconnected player must return into the game.
If multiple players disconnect, the server crashes or lobby shuts down or network fails and there is no match to be found when retrying, the lobby must be immediately rehosted and the game must restart from the last backup/save.
If the latest backup/save is in the middle of a critical action (as decided by the Tournament Staff), a previous backup must be used. In the event of a previous backup being unavailable the game must continue with the backup that is available.
If a backup can't be found or used after a crash, the lobby must be rehosted and the game will restart. All players have to pick the same heroes and items as previously and must go to the same starting lane. After initial 'creep' contact, players may change lane.
In the event of a time issue, the Tournament Staff will decide accordingly.
Swearing or any kind of hostility, racist or any sort of abuse verbal or physical towards another player is strictly prohibited. Please mind your language during matches as much as possible. Players are strictly prohibited to be drunk or under drugs in the match area. Smoking or drinking alcohol in the match area is prohibited.
All participants are required to uphold the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for any kind of harassment including but not limited to; demeaning language, threats, hate crimes, intimidation, non-consensual photography or recording, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome physical attention as well as statements or verbal exchanges that threatens or expresses contempt of ethnicity, religious belief, sexual orientation, citizenship, appearance, body size, age, disability and gender identity. Such instances will be penalized. Every participant has to show the needed respect towards other participants, the Organizers, Tournament Staff and Casters. The ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY applies to EVERYONE attending including but not limited to: Attendees, Press, Staff, Sponsors & Guests.
Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct, and will be penalized appropriately.
We encourage everyone to immediately report any sign of harassment, both to yourself or if you witness it happening to someone else. Report it to a member of the Tournament Staff of Gamer.LK who have tags clearly marked with STAFF on themselves.
All the above player conduct restrictions are imposed upon entry from the gate of the Tournament premises (security checkpoint or main entrance gate). Any incidents that take place beyond the premises or during transit may not be covered by these rules and the Tournament Staff or Organizers cannot be held liable for any such incidents either.
Violation of the rules or failure to comply with Gamer.LK Staff may lead to the following penalties. Depending on the severity of the offense, levels of penalties may be skipped.
– Warning: After a warning is given during a game it will continue until the game is completed. If three warnings are accumulated then the team will be disqualified from the tournament upon receiving the third warning.
– Game Loss: Game loss given to a team means that the team loses the current game no matter what the result of that game is. A win would be awarded to the opponent instead. In a best of 3/5 games situation, this refers to the game that is being played.
– Disqualifications: A team disqualified will be ejected from the tournament. They will not be able to proceed in the bracket.
– No Show: A team that registers for the tournament and doesn't show up for a match or pulls out of the tournament will be considered "no show". This will affect their Gamer.LK ranking as this will reduce their points. In the bracket however, the scheduled match would be considered a walkover.
– Ban: In extreme circumstances, a team/player might be banned from playing in any single match (disqualified) in the ongoing tournament. Based on the severity of the violation this ban might extend to future Gamer.LK tournaments.
Players who are caught swearing or behaving in a hostile manner towards their opponents or staff or spectators will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
Players who are caught throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
No person/s shall hold the Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners liable in any manner whatsoever for any circumstance or situation arising from or at any of our events including but not limited to acts beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, terrorist activities or national emergency, accident, fire, lightning, riot, civil commotion, explosions, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes or epidemics.
The Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners will not be responsible for:
– Any late, lost or distorted registrations
– Any loss of hardware peripherals, personal belongings (including but not limited to mobile telephones, laptops, hard disks, pen drives) and/or liveware
– Telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures
– Any contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the Organizer’s/Gamer.LK's control.

The last map will be decided by each team removing one map from the remaining 3 maps. The remaining map will be the 3rd map. The first team to remove a map from the 3 remaining maps will be decided by a coin toss where the loser of the coin toss removes a map first.

Illegal Binds are defined as:
- Any binding of three or more keys.
- Binds that alter the map model, i.e.: no fog, no foliage, etc.
- Any binds pointed to any program or function that resides outside of the CoD4 directory, with the exception of voice comms software.
- Any types of scripts proven to give a real advantage or are part of- any 'exec' or 'vstr' bind (this does not include anything related to demos or demo players)
- Any script including 'lookdown'- any script including 'wait'
- Any bind including 'attack' cannot be combined with any other command- any bind including 'frag' cannot be combined with other commands/binds
- Any bind including 'weapnext' cannot be combined with any other command
- Binding 'attack' to MOUSE WHEEL UP/DOWN is prohibited.
Permitted Bindings include:
- Changes to assigned stock single key game play binds.
- Binding of not more than two motion keys (Example: bind a +leanright;+moveright)
- If you have a non-stock binding that you're unsure is legal, or have a binding that you would like to have approved for use in match play, submit the information to an admin for clarification and/or consideration.

Map exploits defined:
Map exploits are errors or oversights in map design made by the map developer that provide an unfair advantage to a player or a team. Such exploits include but are not limited to:- the ability to lean through, pass through, and see through walls, doors, and windows, and use of clipped or defective map passages to access areas outside the normal playing area.
Proof of exploits:
Any dispute made for use of exploits must be supported with evidence. Any player, group of players, or team proven to be using illegal map exploits or boosting will be subject to loss of match points and possible expulsion from the tournament. Anyone found cheating will face a match forfeit and/or removal of team from the competition.
All programs or files, either changed game files or new files, that change the game or add to its functionality, or which interact with the game in any way, are strictly forbidden. Modified versions of the game's resource files are always forbidden, regardless of what they do. The use of any forbidden program or file by any team member during a match, leads to a forfeit loss, and could lead to a removal and ban from tournament. Third party voice communication software such as (but not limited to) Teamspeak are allowed.

No spectators of any kind will be allowed in game other than any designated admin or authorised person (commentator etc) for that game. Each team member must use the same name that they used to register with and the specific tag to avoid any incidents.
If both teams have an equal number of map wins at the end of two maps played, a tie breaker map will be played where the winner of that map will win the match. The tie-breaker map will be selected by a coin toss where winners pick the map. Again the sides for the map will be decided by a coin toss and the number of rounds reduced to mr3. If the first tie-breaker ends up as a draw, same map will be played and sides will be changed (e.g.: The team that was on attack first in the first tie-breaker now have to defend first).
It is the responsibility of the team captain to ensure that their team is on the match server at the time the match is set to be played, and with the minimum number of required eligible players, which is 3 (three). If a team fails to appear with the minimum number of players required, the team will not be allowed to play and a walkover to the team that is present will be given.

All competitors are expected to know and understand all the rules described here. Not knowing that a rule existed or that it was in place will not be considered as an acceptable reason for breaking a said rule.
All teams are kindly requested to remove any profanities or obscene language or expletives and drug references from their team names and player names. (eg: Teams with names such as Team F***s, H***tho Gangsiya, Kiss my A**, etc will not be allowed to register.) Teams are also kindly requested to refrain from using any obscene images in their team logos.
Teams must arrive to the TeamSpeak at least 30 minutes before their match or the start of the tournament. If by 15 minutes past the scheduled match start time a team doesn’t have enough players to play, the match will be deemed a walkover to the team that is present with its minimum number of required players.
A Team has to consist of at least six players. Upto ONE substitute players can also be registered for each team. Each player can be registered and can subsequently play for only one team during the tournament.
Stand-ins will be allowed but their details will need to be given to the Registration Desk prior to each match. Roster changes are allowed. Stand-ins or players being changed cannot be playing for any other team in the tournament.

The side and map pick order (selection priority) of each game depends on the mode of the match. The team with Selection Priority may pick either their side of the map or the drafting order. Selection Priority will be determined by a coin toss and the winner of the coin toss will receive Selection Priority. It will be reversed after each game. When any games are awarded as walkovers, Selection Priority will still switch.
Public chat can only be used by the team captains and/or Tournament Staff regarding game pauses, disconnections, etc. Team members are allowed to greet each other at the start and end of the match on public chat (i.e: GGWP, GLHF, etc) but should avoid using it during a match. No foul language is allowed on public chat and doing so can get the team disqualified from the match after the first warning.
A team CANNOT START a game shorthanded. Both teams should necessarily have 6 players and there can be no games with 5 players on either side. Any team with players missing after the grace time provided will be considered as having forfeited the match.
Exploiting game or map bugs/glitches/flaws ("exploits") for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Exploits that are not specifically named here are still prohibited but will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. The Tournament Staff reserve the right to decide what will be deemed as an exploit or abuse.
In case of a tie on Assault, Hybrid or Escort a preset Best of One Control map is to be played. The team that captures the first objective fully, on the first point of the control map will win the tied map. Please note that Control Maps picked in from the map pool are to be played as a Best of Five.
The use of any third-party addons, hooks, programs or wrappers that interact with or alter the game client, its appearance or behaviour for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited. Players and teams caught using such addons will, at the discretion of the Tournament Staff be penalized accordingly. Third party voice communication software such as (but not limited to) Teamspeak are allowed.
Impersonating an eligible player by attempting to alias as them, using their Steam account or by any other method is prohibited and will result in the aliasing player and the player they are aliasing as being removed from the tournament.

The team with Selection Priority will start the Map Pick/Veto process (pick & ban phase). Teams will thereafter ban maps until the number of maps needed. Maps are played in the order they were picked.
Each team has the right to pause the game for a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes, if a player announces it at least three seconds in advance and calls a coherent reason (not necessary, if someone disconnects). The game must not be resumed before both teams agree with it.
If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly.
Each team has up to fifteen (15) minutes to reconnect to the game (all times get added up).
If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game, unless an admin demands the
opposite. The affected player is in this case still allowed to rejoin later on.
If during a match a player is not able to reconnect for reasons other than a reconnection
bug, the team will have to play without that player.
If the player is not able to reconnect because of a game bug, the game will be played
forward until the next minute mark and will be reloaded from there.
If in the case of a game not being reloaded after such a try, the game will have to be
rehosted as in the clause below.
The following rules only apply if a match is involuntarily interrupted due to a player crash,
server crash, network failure, power failure, etc.
If a player's PC crashes or a player disconnects, the game must be paused. The disconnected
player must return into the game.
If multiple players disconnect, the server crashes or lobby shuts down or network fails and
there is no match to be found when retrying, the lobby must be immediately rehosted and the
game must restart from the last backup/save.
If the latest backup/save is in the middle of a critical action (as decided by the
Tournament Staff), a previous backup must be used. In the event of a previous backup being
unavailable the game must continue with the backup that is available.
If a backup can't be found or used after a crash, the lobby must be rehosted and the game
will restart. All players have to pick the same heroes and items as previously and must go
to the same starting lane. After initial 'creep' contact, players may change lane.
In the event of a time issue, the Tournament Staff will decide accordingly.
Swearing or any kind of hostility, racist or any sort of abuse verbal or physical towards another player is strictly prohibited. Please mind your language during matches as much as possible. Players are strictly prohibited to be drunk or under drugs in the match area. Smoking or drinking alcohol in the match area is prohibited.
All participants are required to uphold the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for any kind of harassment including but not limited to; demeaning language, threats, hate crimes, intimidation, non-consensual photography or recording, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome physical attention as well as statements or verbal exchanges that threatens or expresses contempt of ethnicity, religious belief, sexual orientation, citizenship, appearance, body size, age, disability and gender identity. Such instances will be penalized. Every participant has to show the needed respect towards other participants, the Organizers, Tournament Staff and Casters. The ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY applies to EVERYONE attending including but not limited to: Attendees, Press, Staff, Sponsors & Guests.
Any participant who attacks or physically harms another participant in his team or the opposing team will immediately result in the perpetrator’s team being disqualified from the tournament.
Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct, and will be penalized appropriately.
In the event of intentional or accidental damages to hardware/property, the person(s) responsible is expected to pay the damages to Gamer.LK. Any attempt to make hardware changes (e.g. unplugging of peripherals without proper consent from the match referees, etc.) and software changes to the computers will be considered as damage to property.
We encourage everyone to immediately report any sign of harassment, both to yourself or if you witness it happening to someone else. Report it to a member of the Tournament Staff of Gamer.LK who have tags clearly marked with STAFF on themselves.
All the above player conduct restrictions are imposed upon entry from the gate of the Tournament premises (security checkpoint or main entrance gate). Any incidents that take place beyond the premises or during transit may not be covered by these rules and the Tournament Staff or Organizers cannot be held liable for any such incidents either.
Violation of the rules or failure to comply with Gamer.LK Staff may lead to the following
penalties. Depending on the severity of the offense, levels of penalties may be skipped.
– Warning: After a warning is given during a game it will continue until the game is
completed. If three warnings are accumulated then the team will be disqualified from the
tournament upon receiving the third warning.
– Game Loss: Game loss given to a team means that the team loses the current game no matter
what the result of that game is. A win would be awarded to the opponent instead. In a best
of 3/5 games situation, this refers to the game that is being played.
– Disqualifications: A team disqualified will be ejected from the tournament. They will not
be able to proceed in the bracket.
– No Show: A team that registers for the tournament and doesn't show up for a match or pulls
out of the tournament will be considered "no show". This will affect their Gamer.LK ranking
as this will reduce their points. In the bracket however, the scheduled match would be
considered a walkover.
– Ban: In extreme circumstances, a team/player might be banned from playing in any single
match (disqualified) in the ongoing tournament. Based on the severity of the violation this
ban might extend to future Gamer.LK tournaments.
Players who are caught swearing or behaving in a hostile manner towards their opponents or staff or spectators will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
Players who are caught throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be issued with a warning upon their first infraction. Continued infractions will result in the following: forfeiture of a ban upon the second incident and forfeiture of the match upon the third incident.
No person/s shall hold the Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners liable in any manner whatsoever for any circumstance or situation arising from or at any of our events including but not limited to acts beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, terrorist activities or national emergency, accident, fire, lightning, riot, civil commotion, explosions, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes or epidemics.
The Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and
Partners will not be responsible for:
– Any late, lost or distorted registrations
– Any loss of hardware peripherals, personal belongings (including but not limited to mobile
telephones, laptops, hard disks, pen drives) and/or liveware
– Telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or
communications-related malfunctions or failures
– Any contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the
Organizer’s/Gamer.LK's control.
The Organizers and Gamer.LK reserves the right to deny entry to any event to anyone who
violates the event rules.
